Glossary

APPLYING
Applying is when you place the hair extension onto your natural hair, and attach it via one of the methods i.e. glue gun, fusion, weaves, micro rings etc.

BRAID
Braids are small plats incorporated into your hair in cornrows and then wefts of hair are sewn into the braids.

BULK HAIR
Bulk Hair is basically large amounts of lose hair, which can be used for creating wefts or making pre bonded hair. Check out our wholesale section

CLIP INS
Clip ins are hair extensions with clips attached to them, which can be ready to use straight away, and also can be removed instantly.

CONDITIONER
Conditioneris essential for use on hair extensions, as it moisturizes, detangles and smoothes the cuticles, use after a mild shampoo

CUTICLE
Cuticles lay flat along the hair shaft, healthy cuticles means shiny detangle free hair.

HAIR EXTENSIONS
Hair extensions made from real natural hair or synthetic fake hair. Which are applied to achieve more volume or extra length by one of the following techniques, via fusion, micro rings

HUMAN HAIR
This is a term to describe that the product is from Real Natural Human Hair.

KERATIN BONDS
These are protein wax bonds which are attached to the hair extensions, which helps apply the extension to your natural hair.

PRE BONDED
This is a term for hair extensions which keratin bonds (Nail Tip or Stick Tip) are already attached to the extension, ready for applying.

RE BONDING
Keratin rebonds are replaced after the life of the first bonds have been removed, then the hair can be reused.

REMY HAIR
Also known as Reme or Remi. This is real natural human hair, which normally comes from India or China, which has been cut from the root of the head, with all of the hair cuticles going in the same direction. Its slightly different from Virgin hair as it can be permed or coloured if required. Usually made with higher quality hair extensions and wigs due to its soft and silky texture.

SERUM
Serum helps prevent your hair from frizzing and helps keep it smooth and straight. Use it on wet hair before styling or on dry hair to get a smoother look.

SYNTHETIC HAIR
Synthetic Hair - This is fake man made hair, which is a cheaper alternative to real hair, it is possible to be straightened but only at a very low temperature, note should not be allowed too much heat.

THERMAL PROCESS
Thermal process is a term used for hair to be straightened using hot irons.

THERMAL SPRAY
This is a heat protective spray which helps protect the hair from heat.

VIRGIN HAIR
Virgin hair is the finest of hair, as it still would be the excellent condition state as harvested from the grower. This hair's history has not been permed or coloured in anyway its completely natural virgin, therefore perfect condition. Used for the best finest hair extensions, wigs, which is in the highest demand.

WEFTS
Wefts are temporary hair extensions which are glued into your hair.

WIG
Either natural or synthetic hair wigs are available, this is described as a full cap which covers the hair on the head, or a replacement or substitute for the hair, its purpose is it create a natural style look.
